Dubskin – Reggae Music Rooted in Colorado

The band Dubskin, out of Fort Collins, Colorado has emerged as a prominent fixture on the American reggae scene.  Formed by musicians from around the area and a few out-of-towners, Dubskin brings a new look to the old style of reggae which features a hint of hip-hop, roots, step, funk, and dancehall.  With the recent finishing of their third full length album, Release From Fear,  and having signed with a large management company, Dubskin finds themselves in the midst of a Reggae Revolution that has sparked across the nation with similar bands like SOJA, out of D.C..

Dubskin is no stranger to the limelight however, having played venues and festivals all over the country including local favorite Red Rocks Amphitheatre this past summer for Reggae on the Rocks.  This coming weekend finds them playing two shows as opener for world renowned Orthodox Hasidic Jew rap artist Matisyahu, Thursday at the Boulder Theater and Saturday at The Ogden in Denver.

Starting today, you can download a free song from the new unreleased album on their facebook page, fb.com/dubskin.  You can also get downloads of their past albums from their main website, dubskinmusic.com.  Tickets for these shows are still available but are expected to sell out soon.
