Okay, anyone that lives here will tell you two Italian places right off the bat:
Carmines On Penn
Maggianos

Carmines is a local place that has tremendously tasty food. It's usually a bit difficult to get into so do your best to set aside a decent block of time and get reservations. Amazing pastas and delicious Italian dishes await you.

Maggianos is a nationwide chain that has really awesome Italian pasta and dishes. While I'd rather not mention it as I'd prefer to hype the locals, this really is one of the best in town. There are two main locations - one is in the heart of downtown on the 16th Street Mall and the other is in the Denver Tech Center. While I'm sure there are others, these are the 'cool' locations.
