What to do in Denver
This is always a little tricky of a question to answer because honestly the Denver area has just about everything a person could want.
Denver has a ton of things to do. There are amazing restaurants scattered all through the city. A few places have live music, live theater, and lots of them have televisions. Denver is known to have amazing Italian restaurants (pasta/pizza), great Mediterranean and the best of all, Mexican food. For some reason, Colorado is still one of the few states where you can get good green chili sauce. Many people think they've had good green chili, but they truly haven't. Most Mexican restaurants in Denver serve the green stuff by default, and I wouldn't recommend changing to red. Denver also has some really fine dining in town - the mainstays are The Broker, Del Friso's, Strings, Capital Grille and so many others to mention a few...
Denver is home to a burgeoning music scene. There are a variety of hip hop, jazz, rock, and blues groups here. There are tons of venues along Denver's Colfax Avenue (this is Denver's big city drag).
Denver is also home to a ton of Irish pubs. Don't ask me why but they're great places to check out.
Sports fans - there are some truly awesome sports bars (although not enough in my opinion). The best part is that Denver has a pro basketball, baseball, football, and hockey team. We even have pro and semi-pro soccer, rugby, and lacrosse. Golfers, the Denver area is home to some of the most picturesque courses in America and typically the courses are open all year round as snow doesn't stick on the ground long.
Outdoors - running through the city is the Platte River and along the river is a trail. This trail connects with many others throughout the city and suburbs and actually leads right up into the mountains. You can take these trails all the way through Colorado and beyond. Also, if you're into hiking, running, biking, or any other outdoor sport, you'll find near perfect temperatures for 8 months of the year and plenty of high altitude to really take training to the next level.
Attractions - Denver also has a theme park, several museums, playhouses, parks, schools, colleges...and so on. Seriously, we have just about everything any other big city would have. It's just that our stuff is newer than your stuff because Denver is just at the beginning.
